Fans of all-in-one security suites should take a serious look at the just-released Kaspersky Internet Security 2009, which includes modules for antivirus, antispyware, firewall and more, yet uses little enough system resources and RAM that it won't slow down or clog up your system. The moment you launch it, you can see that the latest security suite from Kaspersky Labs is very different from last year's edition. The main screen is more attractive, more streamlined, and much better organized. Kaspersky Internet Security 2009 ($79.95 for 3 licenses) also includes significant internal changes, among them a totally revamped antivirus engine and a new application filter feature that protects your computer by controlling access rights for applications. Still, some of the secondary abilities of the suite, such as spam fighting and parental controls didn't wow me. The result is a suite that is definitely improved, but that still leaves room for further improvement.

Wow, Kaspersky Internet Security 2009 give me the best rating security! Very very fast and stable, scanning is extremely fast, and resource usage very low. It also provides the best protection against malware and spyware. Everything that escapes it's signature detection is ALWAYS caught by either heuristics, HIPS or Proactive Defense. And everyone who says that kaspersky isn't the best or that the previous version is better is a big fat ****ing idot.

It’s getting harder and harder to find so-so AV security packages these days. KIS 2009 is a worthwhile upgrade to its predecessor: it offers a very attractive combination of features and protection at a good price. Factor in its low impact on system resources and being light on its feet and KIS 2009 becomes a worthy rival to the likes of Norton 360 et al.
