SmartBackup is an inexpensive, fast and easy to use backup software for Windows 95/98/NT/XP. Many people recognize the importance of backups when it's too late and their important files are already lost. But often it is difficult to do regular backups of the hard disk, because this takes a long time and may easily be forgotten. And that's the point where SmartBackup helps you. On the one hand it helps you to select only your important files for backup, which results in a short time needed for a backup. On the other hand it automatically keeps your backups up to date and does copy only files which have changed since the last backup. If you analyze a normal hard disk, usually only 3 - 10% of the space is used by your data files. Most of the files on your hard disk are program files, system files, DLLs, etc. which can easily be recovered by reinstalling the software. SmartBackup helps you to find and backup only your important data files and can update them automatically, e.g. once a day on Windows start.
