SciMark Drives Professional Description

Drive, as an electronic device, or as a combination of mechanics and electronics, is performed by its absolute physical throughput and data input and output rates. On the other hand, any a drive is connected to a computer system via an adapter and managed by an operating system to be storage and/or a host of virtual memory. As storage and/or a host of a computer system, the overall performance under certain storage controller and operating system is sure to have much influence to wide range of applications, especially to the multi-threaded applications. SciMark Drives is a software pack in SciMark serials to measuring performance of drives on the operating system level to see how well it will handle single thread request and multi-thread request. There would be large files made. It is good to measure the most kinds of drives. Professional Edition is good for advanced users and it is focusing on showing how drives system can respond to increased number of threads of multi-processors system.
