STOIK Noise Autofix v.1.0 implements the latest automatic noise reduction algorithm developed by STOIK Imaging. The program cleans noise in photos from different sources including digital cameras, cameraphones, and scanners. The main internal modules of the program are noise detector, noise analyzer and noise suppression filter.Noise detector finds noise and distinguishes it from natural image textures and fine details. It is based on statistical Bayesian classifier. It was pre-trained on most typical noise types and it can be trained additionally to take into account new specific noise patterns.Noise analyzer measures noise parameters, builds the noise profiles, and decides what filter parameters are optimal for the particular noise type according to the proprietary image quality criteria.The noise removal filter processes the image to reduce noise level providing balance between preserving image details and noise suppression. The filtering is performed using a multi resolution image representation. During filtration the filter makes statistically optimal decision whether image element belongs to noise or not. Once the decision is made it applies different methods to process noise and image elements. This software also includes automatic Smart Sharpening filter as an optional postprocessing tool. Color By Number lets you to convert photo to a paint-by-number pattern. Just scan the photo or load graphics file from disk, choose the brand of paints/crayons to be used and the program will convert your photo to a paint-by-number pattern optimized for the palette you have chosen. You can print the pattern together with color key
New in version 2.5:
- The pattern may have now up to 255 colors
This greatly enhances program ability to find best matching colors for your photos.
- Option to use mixed colors.
It often happens that particular paint palette contains too few colors to properly match colors in your photo. If you check 'Use mixed colors' option on the Colors dialog the program will look for best matching colors not only among pure palette colors, but among mixes of up to 3 colors from the palette.
- Option to convert to the best matching RGB colors.
This option allows the most accurate reproduction of colors, because the choice of best matching colors will not be limited by the colors available in the selected palette. You should not however that when you use this option it is not guaranteed that the colors in the pattern will be available in any of the paint palettes you may have.
- Added Shaded palette
The shaded palette (Shaded Carandache) contains several shades of each pure palette color. This allows better reproduction of photo colors even of the number of colors in the photo exceeds the number of pure colors in the palette.

Thanks to the fully automatic 'red eye' removal algorithm, the interface of the program is very simple - you have just few necessary buttons to open, save, view, zoom and pan photos, one 'Remove' button to apply 'red eye' removal filter, buttons for Undo/Redo and for moving to next or previous image in folder, and Select button which is used for high precision manual processing.

The operation is very simple - click Open to load photo, click Remove to correct 'red eye', then click Save, and if necessary, click Next button to load next image file from the folder.

HIGH-PRECISION MODE
<p>
When red eye defect is less prominent and program fails to detect in automatic mode use Select button and draw selection around eyes, then click Remove. When you have a selection, the processing will be applied only inside the selection which guarantees that outside regions will not be affected. Additionally, in manual mode the program uses red eye detection algorithm with higher sensitivity.

CORRECT MULTIPLE PHOTOS AT ONCE

After installation of STOIK RedEye Autofix the two additional entries will appear in context menu of Windows Explorer. Right-click the image file on your computer or attached camera and choose the new command which will run STOIK RedEye Autofix behind the scenes:

This program offers you various methods to resize digital photos including new STOIK Smart Resize algorithm which allows to enlarge digital images up to 1000% without loss of visual sharpness. You will find it useful for multiple tasks from quality zooming to increasing resolution of digital photos to creation of good-looking photo thumbnails.
<p>
To increase resolution of digital photo one needs to add pixels to those registered by camera or scanner CCD. Color values in newly added pixels are calculated by interpolating values of adjacent pixels in original photo. The quality of resizing depends on the algorithm used for interpolation, and with all conventional interpolation methods such as bilinear or bicubic, the interpolation results in blurred image. This program offers in addition to standard methods new Smart Resize algorithm developed by STOIK Imaging. This algorithm makes intelligent zooming possible through analysis of picture content for natural textures, contours, and line art, and application of adapted interpolation methods for specific areas. The result is the ability to enlarge digital images without loss of visual sharpness.
<p>
One particular important implementation of the new algorithm is enlargement of cameraphone photos and photos taken with sub-megapixel cameras for resolution sufficient for quality prints. The algorithm also allows for creation of smart thumbnails small copies of originals which could be effectively restored to original resolution with simple interpolation.
