Excel @ Sudoku enables you to create and solve Sudoku puzzles using your favorite spreadsheet environment, MicrosoftÂ® Excel. You can create thousands of new, randomly-generated puzzles. For each puzzle you generate, you can decide how many blank cells you want in the puzzle. If you are short of time, select fewer blanks; usually this means that the puzzle can be solved more quickly. But the random nature of the puzzles can always generate some surprises. You can also key in a puzzle from a magazine, newspaper, or puzzle book. If you have difficulty completing a puzzle, Excel @ Sudoku will quickly generate the solution for you. If you just need a little help, then you can display hints, either for a single cell, or for all blank cells. The hints are the number options for each cell and are displayed at the top of each cell. If you display them for all cells, they will automatically update as you enter numbers into the empty cells. And you can hide them when you donÂ?t want them. You can also use that space to enter your own notes if you prefer. You can restore a generated or entered puzzle to its original state if you need to start over, and the UnDo function allows you to unwind you entries one at a time, back to the original puzzle. Work on your puzzles in Excel or print them off (with or without hints) for your ride to work. Excel @ Sudoku works on all flavors of MicrosoftÂ® Excel from 97 to 2007 and on any version of MicrosoftÂ® Windows that supports these various flavors.
